As many of you know, Tina and I are running in the November 8, 2022 election for the two open seats on the Dysart Governing Board. Tina is a parent of two Dysart students and has lived in the district for 21 years. She is a former educator and has been a volunteer and substitute teacher in the district. We have worked together before to support necessary funding for Dysart schools. We have decided to combine our campaign efforts for the Dysart Governing Board.

Tina and I agree that the top priority for Dysart should be recruiting and retaining high-quality employees. One way to accomplish this is to treat professionals accordingly and reduce micromanagement on the school board. The role of a governing board member is to work collaboratively to create policy and help the district provide the best educational experience possible for every child in the community NOT to manage day-to-day operations.

We may not always agree on every issue, but we do agree on the things that matter most for service on the Dysart Governing Board. We work well together because we have shared priorities and we approach issues similarly. We are both open-minded, reserving judgment about issues until we have researched them, and are willing to change our minds based on evidence. We make decisions based on what is best for all students - not based on pre-existing political views.

This is an extremely important election that will have a major impact on the future of Dysart. You have TWO votes, please vote for BOTH Coniam and Mollica to make meaningful change on the Dysart Governing Board.
